Based on twenty case studies that are illustrated with sections, floor plans and photographs, it analyses the evolving typology of office blocks' interiors. Nine essays, an interview, and a comic strip shed light at various aspects and facets of the office building throughout its history. Work by students at Ecole Polytechnique Federal de Lausanne's (EPFL) school of architecture shows how such research is transformed into new projects.
